Prenatal Care – Prenatal care is an important part of a healthy pregnancy. As soon as you think you’re pregnant, schedule your first prenatal appointment. Find care through statewide listings or by contacting your local clinic.
Text4Baby – a free app for pregnant people and new parents that sends you personalized messages about pregnancy, your baby’s development, childcare tips, and more.
CoverMT.org – a free, statewide service that helps connect you to health insurance coverage and information. You may be eligible for health insurance when you are pregnant, either through Montana Medicaid or an open enrollment period with private insurance. Montana Medicaid has increased income limits for pregnant people.
WIC – WIC provides food assistance, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support for pregnant people, caregivers, and children up to 5 years old. Income limits apply.
Parenting Resource Centers – provide a wide array of supports for young pregnant people and families to thrive such as parenting classes, substance use disorder recovery and treatment, mental health therapy, and residential housing.

Home Visiting – evidence-based programs for pregnant persons and parents of young children that support family health, positive parenting practices, and child development. Income limits apply.
Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies – this statewide coalition maintains a resource list where you can search by county or reservation for support groups, pregnancy and infant supplies, birthing and parenting classes, and more.
Mother to Baby – free, evidence-based information on the safety of medications and other exposures during pregnancy and while chestfeeding.
Childbirth Connection – free information, tools, and resources to become an active member of your care team, have a healthy pregnancy and make plans for giving birth.
Maternal Mental Health Hotline – free, confidential hotline for pregnant people and new parents. Available in English, Spanish, or interpretation in 60 languages.
Montana Milestones Early Intervention Services - provides evaluation and comprehensive supports for families of infants or toddlers with have significant developmental delays or disabilities.

Support for Birth/First Parents:MPower Alliance – provides supportive services including retreats, academic scholarships, and counseling for women who have placed, or lost a child to, adoption. Based in California with clients throughout the country.
Concerned United Birthparents – provides support for all family members separated by adoption including resources and education. Advocates for fair and ethical adoption laws, policies, and practices.
Birthmom Buds – a faith-based online organization that offers peer support, encouragement, and friendship to pregnant women considering adoption as well as women who have already placed children for adoption.

Paying for AbortionPrivate Health Insurance – your private health insurance may cover abortion services, but they’re not required to do so in Montana and often they don’t. Contact your insurance carrier to understand which services are provided.
Montana Medicaid – Montana Medicaid covers abortion services
Abortion Funds – abortion can be expensive, but that shouldn’t be a barrier to you getting the care you need. Abortion Funds provide financial aid and other support to people who need abortions. They often work directly with abortion providers, or you can contact them on your own for help.

Minors & Abortion in MontanaPeople under the age of 16 are currently required to have a parent notified before they have an abortion or obtain a waiver from a judge. If you need to obtain a waiver, contact an abortion provider in Montana for help. Learn more here.
